Juices for Beginers
May is ON, Welcome Spring!
Its a great time for juice feasting and taking care of our raw foods intake.
Some fruits and veggies in their Raw form for enzymes, vitamins, minerals, its all in there.
Try adding more and more Raw fruits and Veggie in your days. A healthy microbiome needs 20-30 different vegetables and fruits in one week in order to keep the biodiversity of the microbes in the gut.
Here are few ways of adding more Raw good in your life.
Juice them in a veggie/fruit juicer and add at least one green leafy veggie in your mix.
Drink a Juice every morning or evening for at least a week, before deciding to go into a juice cleanse.
Observe yourself to see if when you start juicing, there's the tendency to eliminate these food from your menu: processed foods, flour
products and pastry, dairy and meat, any stimulants
(caffeine-containing), sugars, carbonated drinks.
Adding juicing into your daily life can lead to miraculous results. These are the most
commonly experienced health improvements:
- Decreased cravings for sugar and processed foods
- Steadier, better digestion and bowel movement
- Improved energy levels and mood
- Deeper sleep and enhanced rest effectiveness
- Significant weight loss
What To Drink And How Much
Let’s start with the essential principle: listen to your body and Less is more. Go steady, try it once a day and see how long this can take you. OBSERVE everything, maybe start a journal with your process.
Suggested Juice ingredients
You can make a few liters of juices at one go if you like to save time.
Juice #1
- bunch of kale
- bunch of celery
- pineapple
- piece of ginger root
- green apple
- pinch of lemon juice at the end
Juice #2
- bunch of spinach
- bunch of celery
- green apples
- carrots
- beetroots
I suggest to make up your own juice recipe, depending on what’s
seasonal and available at your market. If you’re not used to making
green juices please start with adding banana to every single one, so your taste buds don't feel threatened.
In general, just cultivate a curious mind and read plenty of information about every vegetable and fruit. All of them have unique properties and health benefits, so make sure to tailor your juices and needs.
How To Make Green & Fruit Juices
* Juice Base + Main Ingredients + Optional Ingredient = Best JUICE Ever !!
* Use the vegetables raw (uncooked).
STEP 1: Create A BASE For Your Green Juice
Firstly, decide which base you want to start with.
Green juices
doesn’t necessarily mean you have to use only green vegetables.
You can
also have other colored vegetables and fruits in smaller amounts.
In
fact it is encouraged, for you to use other “colored” vegetables—red,
purple, orange, yellow—for their different phytonutrients.
Here are a few suggestions. Adjust the amount accordingly to make your desired amount and taste.
*carrots with green apples
*bananas with spinach and berries
*green apples with lemon (with peel) or lemon juice
*cucumber with few ribs of celery
*carrots with beetroots and spinach
*onion with tomatos and applecider vinegar
STEP 2: Add Main Ingredients To Your Juice
Pick any of the above two items (BASE) and mix with any of the following:
*kale leaves and few ribs of celery.
*head of cabbage and few ribs of celery.
*head of cabbage and few branches of broccoli florets.
*few red or yellow capsicums and lemon.
*collard green leaves and a bunch of spinach, with lemon.
*spinach and red/yellow capsicums with lemon.
*A large grapefruit and few tomatoes. (Not a green juice but suitable for diabetics).
*A small fennel bulb and few green apples.
*Bananas and pineapples
*Berries of all kinds
