Natural mosquito repellents

Since summer is close by and the days get longer, around sunset time mosquitoes get stronger!
Some tips, clues and recipes for natural mosquito repellents :)

Firstly AVOID eating anything with sugar, alcohol, coffee and smoking cigarettes in noon and afternoon around sunset when they start to attack...
If we eat the above, the blood warms up and stays HOT for few hours and mosquitoes eyesight is THERMODETECTING...so, STAY COOL! (if u eat a clove of raw garlic, at sunset they never bite you! - but u smell :) non of the vampire -like beings like the smell of garlic...;) use it wisely!!

Secondly, add in your organic shower soap(or get it ready made-please use what I'm about to say only in organic soap!!)
  • Add 10 drops from each essential oil in a small-medium size liquid soap bottle... choose a mix of 2-3 oils from: lemon balm (citronella), penny royal, lavender, and rose geranium!(id use simply, only citronella and lavender in one soap if there`s no animals with ticks, for those use rose geranium essential oil).
Thirdly, create a mosquito repellent oil for your skin(don't use any lotion, the sweet smell of the lotions, the chemicals in them, and milky texture will attract more mosquitoes and other bugs!!
Use the same essential oils, that you used in your soap, in a bottle of massage oil with raw coconut oil(or other oils available).
In 200ml of oil use 30 drops of the citronella + lavender essential oils mix(15 each)
Shake well and use daily, the best is to spray it on your skin!

Fourth, i have found that Apple Cider Vinegar is really a good anti-mosquito smell - but then again you smell, NOT true if you use it with essential oils! Citronella and Lavender again is the best ones for this - so for fast solutions take a shot of Apple cider vinegar, add the 30 drops of essential oils mix(citronella + lavender -15 drops each oil) in it, mix it well, shake it and apply on skin!

Fifth, have some dry leaves or even better some dry sage or rosemary burned in a tin can (if you are outdoors) or a incense burner, just a bit  on top of a sage leaf and smoke the room. Then take off the fire from leaves and do it again few hours later.

Good luck with the diet plan ;)
